Who we are

Future Think is its founder and executive director, Penny Carballo-Smith, LLB, LEC, LLM, FRSA. Penny leads, shapes and executes Future Think’s programmes in collaboration with other organisations. Behind the scenes, philanthropists and strategically placed professionals contribute considerable money, time and expertise  to make things happen.

Penny graduated from the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (2:1)  and trained as an Attorney-At-Law at Trinidad’s Sir Hugh Wooding Law School. Penny earned a Masters degree in International Business Law (with merit)  at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and pursued a career in London, England in the professional services firm KPMG’s tax practice, developing expertise in corporate/international tax, mergers & acquisitions and knowledge management.   Penny is a member of the Caribbean Diaspora for Science, Technology & Innovation (UK), a co-founder of the Caribbean STEM Coaching Club, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA).

A Senior Human Resources Executive, Patrick specialises in change management, talent acquisition and talent management.  As Vice Chair of the Board of Governors in a Church of England School, Patrick also provides unique insights into the connection between education and employment.

Dr Glenford Mapp

An Associate Professor at the School of Science & Technology, Middlesex University, Glenford’s research interests include the development of new technologies for mobile and distributed systems.

Mr Daryl Best

A Process Engineer at a large engineering firm, Daryl also founded the Caribbean Diaspora for Science, Technology & Innovation (UK), a Not for Profit dedicated to equipping Caribbean communities with the skills needed to succeed in future industries and business markets.

A Web Scientist and Researcher with a focus on sustainability.

Mrs Natalya Silcott

A specialist post 16 mathematics teacher, Natalya is also an examiner and paper reviewer for two major exam boards in the UK, and co-author of the ebook “You CAN Excel in Maths”
